Actress Vismaya Mohanlal posted an Instagram Story condemning the police lathi‑charge on students protesting alleged NEET exam irregularities, questioning the democratic response. The message sparked a coordinated wave of abusive comments on Facebook and Instagram from accounts aligned with the ruling party, calling for a boycott of her upcoming film "Thudakkam" and labeling her anti‑national, with some slurs referencing unrelated terror incidents.
