Visoki Dečani monks visit Rašković family in Dren village
Bishop Ilarion of Novo Brdo and monks from the Visoki Dečani Monastery visited the family of Nenad Rašković in the village of Dren. The visit was intended to offer support following a recent incident involving alleged improper conduct by police officers.
During the visit, which occurred after the patronal feast of Saint Archdeacon Stephen in Banjska, Bishop Ilarion presented an icon of Jesus Christ and provided financial assistance to the children of the families living in the village. Four families reside in Dren, including the Rašković family, where two brothers are married to women from Albania.
The residents expressed feelings of fear and uncertainty regarding the recent incident. Additionally, community members highlighted local infrastructure needs, specifically requesting better road access to the village and a community center for local gatherings.
