Vissel Kobe defeats Kashima Antlers 2-1 to secure fourth consecutive J1 win

Vissel Kobe secured their fourth consecutive victory in the J1 League with a 2-1 win over Kashima Antlers in Matchday 7. The match, held at Noevir Stadium Kobe, saw Kobe take the lead in the 56th minute through a Yuya Osako penalty, which was earned after a handball by a Kashima player following a shot by captain Tetsushi Yamakawa.

Yamakawa later secured the win for Kobe in the 77th minute with a header from a Diego cross. Kashima Antlers managed a late goal via Chavric in the 73rd minute, but it was not enough to prevent their third consecutive defeat. The absence of top scorer Leo Seara was noted as a significant factor for Kashima, as Yuma Suzuki missed several key scoring opportunities during the match.

Both clubs are preparing to transition into the AFC Champions League Elite competition, with Kashima facing Newcastle Jets and Kobe facing Port FC in the coming week.
