Vista Alegre launches Oscar Niemeyer porcelain collection

Portuguese porcelain brand Vista Alegre has launched the ‘Niemeyer’ collection, a collaborative project with the Oscar Niemeyer Foundation to honor the legacy of the renowned Brazilian architect.

The collection consists of six collectible decorative plates: ‘Eterno Feminino’, ‘Geografia do Éden’, ‘Poema da Curva’, ‘Ela Paisagem’, ‘Poema Concreto’, and ‘Veias Latinas’. Each piece features emblematic illustrations by Niemeyer accompanied by short texts written by the architect.

The design focuses on central themes of Niemeyer’s work, specifically the use of the curve to represent freedom and organic beauty, as well as the recurring motif of the female figure. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between architecture and design, translating the architect’s creative universe into porcelain art.
