Vistula River conference to be held in Gdańsk

The second edition of the ‘Łączy nas Wisła’ conference is scheduled to take place on September 29–30, 2026, in Gdańsk at the GRANO Riverside hotel. The event focuses on the Vistula, Poland's most significant river, examining its environmental, social, cultural, and economic importance.

By hosting the debate in Gdańsk, where the river meets the Baltic Sea, the conference highlights how actions taken throughout the entire river basin impact water quality, coastal ecosystems, and regional security. Key topics include climate change, hydrological drought, deteriorating ecological water status, and pollution.

The conference aims to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange between institutions, local governments, science, business, and social organizations. Participants will work toward developing recommendations for river protection, presenting innovative monitoring tools, and strengthening cooperation between regions along the river's course.
