Visual Components launches FactoryLens for industrial digital twins
Visual Components has announced the launch of FactoryLens, a new viewport integrated into its simulation platform designed to enhance industrial digital twins. Developed through an expanded collaboration with NVIDIA, the tool utilizes NVIDIA Omniverse libraries to allow manufacturers to transition existing factory layouts into highly realistic digital-twin environments.
FactoryLens enables real-time rendering and photorealistic visualization within the existing software interface, eliminating the need for separate visualization tools. Users can manage materials, record high-quality video, and export configurations using Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) for use in compatible external environments. The platform supports a library of over 4,000 components, including robots, conveyors, and autonomous mobile robots, utilizing NVIDIA RTX for rendering and NVIDIA PhysX for realistic physics simulation.
