VisualCamp launches AI-powered literacy assessment pilot in Haryana's Nuh district

VisualCamp, a global AI eye‑tracking firm, will begin a three‑month Proof of Concept of its READ for School platform in the Nuh district of Haryana, India, this September. The pilot follows a Letter of Intent from the Haryana state government and aims to demonstrate how gaze‑tracking via standard mobile‑device cameras can reveal reading behaviours such as fixation duration, speed, regressions and gaze span. By turning these data into actionable insights, the system seeks to help teachers spot early reading difficulties, monitor comprehension progress and deliver targeted literacy interventions.

CEO Yunchan Suk said India is a strategically vital market and the project will test the technology’s impact on public‑school learners. VisualCamp already operates in more than 500 schools in South Korea and partners with Oxford Education Mexico, while its new ReadClass platform automatically generates vocabulary lists, quizzes and real‑time gaze dashboards for educators.
