Visually impaired sisters in Adana complete Quran readings using Braille

Two visually impaired sisters, Fatma Çetin and Türkan Alçin, have successfully completed multiple readings of the Quran using the Arabic Braille alphabet. The sisters, aged 55 and 57 respectively, began their specialized training in 2021 at the Abdulbaki-Fatma Siverekli Girls' Quran Course in the Çukurova district of Adana.

After finding online audio lessons insufficient to complete their learning, they joined a course specifically designed for the visually impaired organized by the Adana Muftiate. Through the assistance of instructor Şule Taş, they learned to navigate embossed text with their fingertips. To date, Çetin has completed the Quran seven times, while Alçin has completed it eight times.
