Vita Barbić wins silver at World U20 Championships

Croatian athlete Vita Barbić won a silver medal in javelin throw at the World U20 Championships in Eugene, USA. This achievement follows her previous gold medals at the European Cadet and Junior Championships.

Barbić faced significant personal and logistical challenges leading up to the competition. She dealt with a family tragedy involving the death of her grandmother and encountered difficulties with her equipment, including issues boarding her javelin onto a plane. Additionally, she had to personally fund a training stadium to prepare for the event due to inadequate facilities provided at the venue.
