Vital Metals and Victory Metals announce expanded rare earth mineralisation in Canada and Australia

Vital Metals (ASX:VML) reported assay results that extend rare earth element and niobium mineralisation beyond the current Tardiff resource at its Nechalacho project in Canada’s Northwest Territories. Drill holes showed zones such as 47 m @ 1.66 % total rare earth oxides (TREO) and 0.31 % niobium pentoxide, and higher‑grade intersections like 6 m @ 3.86 % TREO and 0.49 % Nb₂O₅. CEO Lisa Riley said the results “confirm the quality and continuity of the Tardiff resource while extending mineralisation beyond its current limits” and will be incorporated into an updated resource model ahead of a pre‑feasibility study slated for early 2027.

Victory Metals (ASX:VTM) revealed that key defence and permanent‑magnet rare earths at its North Stanmore project in Western Australia are hosted primarily in secondary phosphate minerals. A mineralogical study of pilot‑plant concentrate identified heavy rare earths such as dysprosium and terbium, together with magnet rare earths neodymium and praseodymium, concentrated in these phosphates. CEO Brendan Clark called the mineral assemblage “an important advancement” that differentiates the project from conventional hard‑rock deposits.
