Vite in Musica 2026 film festival returns to Teatro Palladium

The Vite in Musica 2026 film festival will take place at the Teatro Palladium of Roma Tre University from October 27 to November 17, 2026. Curated by Luca Aversano and Enrico Carocci, the series explores the intersection of cinema and music through biographical and documentary films.

The program features four screenings focusing on the human experiences and personal struggles of musical icons. Featured subjects include Maria Callas, Bruce Springsteen, Maurice Ravel, and Cuban musicians. The festival aims to use cinema to reveal the private lives, vulnerabilities, and transformations of these artists beyond their public fame.

The event is organized with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture’s Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual and in collaboration with the DAMS Department of Philosophy, Communication, and Entertainment at Roma Tre University. The festival will open on October 27 with Pablo Larraín’s 2024 film ‘Maria’, which portrays the final season of Maria Callas’s life.
