Viterbo barber shops reopen following regulatory inspections
Barber shops in Viterbo are gradually reopening following a series of temporary closures ordered by the municipality. The closures, which affected thirteen establishments across the historic center and peripheral areas, were initiated after joint inspections by local police and the Carabinieri's labor inspectorate revealed a widespread lack of qualified technical managers.
To comply with health, hygiene, and consumer protection regulations, business owners have begun the regularization process by hiring qualified staff under permanent contracts. As documentation is verified by the economic development sector, suspension orders are being revoked. However, five salons have challenged the administrative orders by filing appeals with the TAR (Regional Administrative Court), leading the municipality to allocate funds for legal defense.
