Viterbo Half Marathon promotes inclusion and sport

The second edition of the Viterbo Half Marathon – Città dei Papi took place in Italy, attracting over 860 participants. The event featured three distinct races: the Half Marathon, a 4x5 relay, and the non-competitive Run for All, which focused on social inclusion.

In the men’s race, Hicham Boufars secured first place, followed by Andrea Todisco and Luca Parisi. In the women’s category, Anna Arnaudo took first place, ahead of Sara Carnicelli and Eleonora Bazzoni.

Aligned with the European Week of Sport and the #BeActive campaign, the event emphasized sport as a tool for culture, health, and social participation. Representatives from the European Parliament and the European Commission highlighted the role of EU funding, such as Erasmus+, in supporting sports initiatives and international mobility for the 2021–2027 period.
