Viterbo illuminates Palazzo dei Papi for World Polio Day

The city of Viterbo, Italy, illuminated the Palazzo dei Papi in red to observe World Polio Day. The initiative was part of the international ‘End Polio Now’ campaign promoted by Rotary International to raise public awareness and support the global eradication of poliomyelitis.

The event was organized by the Rotary Club Viterbo FAVL – Terre di Tuscia with support from the Municipality of Viterbo. Alessandro Palombi, President of the Rotary Club Viterbo FAVL – Terre di Tuscia, emphasized the ongoing commitment of District 2080 clubs to this humanitarian mission, noting that while a polio-free world is becoming increasingly attainable, continued global engagement and awareness remain essential.
