Viterbo implements school transport for relocated La Quercia students

The municipality of Viterbo has released the ranking for school transport services following the temporary relocation of La Quercia primary school students to the Cardinal Ragonesi institute due to structural restoration works. To facilitate this move, the city has established a new transport route, line 1 BIS.

Mayor Chiara Frontini stated that the administration has implemented organizational measures to mitigate the inconvenience for families. For those who applied for the service but were not included in the ranking, the transport assessor, Katia Scardozzi, noted that officials will contact them to schedule information meetings and discuss potential solutions.

However, the measure has faced criticism from local political figures. Luisa Ciambella, leader of the Per il Bene Comune group, argued that the solution is insufficient because several families remain excluded from the transport list. Ciambella expressed concern that leaving some students without transport could force parents to find independent solutions or consider moving their children to different schools.
