Viterbo launches digital memory game to showcase city heritage

The Municipality of Viterbo has launched the ‘Viterbo Memory Game,’ a project designed to transform the city’s historical and artistic heritage into an interactive digital narrative. By combining culture, creativity, and new technologies, the initiative aims to engage citizens, families, and tourists in discovering the city’s traditions and identity through a digital ecosystem accessible in urban spaces.

The first phase of the project focuses on three significant municipal sites: the former church of San Giovanni Battista degli Almadiani in Piazza dei Caduti, Palazzo dei Priori in Piazza del Plebiscito, and the former church of Santi Giuseppe e Teresa in Piazza Fontana Grande. Mayor Chiara Frontini stated that the goal is to use a different language to make the city’s extraordinary heritage come alive and turn historical knowledge into an immersive experience.
