Viterbo Province restores road access after severe weather

Following severe weather in the Acquapendente area, the SP 51 Trevinanese road was reopened in just over an hour after being blocked by fallen trees and downed high-voltage power lines.

The road, located near San Casciano dei Bagni, was closed to traffic on the evening of Saturday, August 8, after intense meteorological phenomena caused damage to the electrical line. An emergency response coordinated by the Province of Viterbo, the Fire Department, and Terna technicians allowed for the removal of debris and cables. Normal traffic flow between Acquapendente and San Casciano dei Bagni was restored by 23:16 that same evening.
