Viterbo railway service resumes with extended weekday hours

The urban section of the Roma-Civita Castellana-Viterbo railway line between Acqua Acetosa and Saxa Rubra has returned to full operation following the completion of construction works. Starting Monday, September 7, service will be extended on weekdays, with trains running until 22:00. The final departures from terminal stations are scheduled for 21:40 and 21:50. For travel between 22:00 and 23:30, replacement bus services will operate at 30-minute intervals.

Additionally, the extra-urban section of the line has seen improvements. With the suspension of works between Vignanello and Viterbo, rail service has been restored to provide continuous coverage up to Catalano, with services also running until 22:00. These changes are expected to benefit commuters, students, and workers traveling between the province of Viterbo and Rome.
