Viterbo social dental clinic targeted in equipment theft
Thieves targeted the ‘Gente di Cuore’ social dental clinic in Viterbo, Italy, breaking into the facility located on via Fontanella del Suffragio. The perpetrators forced and damaged the entrance door to gain access to the premises.
Stolen items include a computer used for administrative tasks and a specialized IT device connected to the radiographic equipment, which is essential for dental examinations. The clinic, managed by the association ABC – Adulti e Bambini con Cardiopatie ODV, provides free dental visits, treatments, and prosthetics to low-income families and vulnerable individuals.
Sandro Marenzoni, president of the association, expressed deep disappointment over the incident. Local authorities have launched an investigation, and the Municipality of Viterbo has expressed solidarity, offering support to help the clinic restore its equipment and resume its services.
