Vitesse announces leadership changes as Mansvelder departs and Schuiteman joins

Vitesse is undergoing leadership changes following a period of significant instability. Ben Mansvelder will not return to his role as general director. Mansvelder, who stepped down in April due to a burnout caused by the intense pressure of securing the club’s survival, has reached an agreement with the club to end their professional cooperation. While he will no longer be part of the office organization, he remains available to the club on call and intends to continue supporting the team as a fan.

In a separate move, Vitesse has appointed Bernard Schuiteman as the new technical director, effective December 1. Schuiteman joins from RKC Waalwijk and brings extensive experience in scouting and technical management, having previously worked with clubs such as Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Feyenoord. His new role will focus on technical policy, squad composition, and strengthening the connection between the first team and the Vitesse Academy.
