Vitez doctor arrested for alleged medical fraud

A doctor from Vitez has been arrested by the Federal Police Administration on suspicion of abusing her position. The suspect, identified as P. K. -G., is an employee of the Vitez Health Center.

Authorities allege that the doctor conducted medical examinations in a private facility after working hours without meeting the legal requirements for private practice. She reportedly charged patients for services and issued prescriptions and specialist findings using the official seal of the Vitez Health Center. These transactions were not recorded in the official medical records of the institution. During searches of both the private facility and her official workspace, police seized cash suspected to be proceeds from the examinations, along with prescriptions and official documents bearing the health center's seal.
