Varaždin court fines woman for unregistered cleaning services

A 31-year-old woman from the Varaždin area in Croatia has been ordered by the Municipal Court in Varaždin to pay a fine of 1,327.23 euros for performing unregistered business activities.

Between mid-May and July 8 of this year, the woman provided cleaning services for various private individuals, earning a total of 50 euros. The court ruled that the activity constituted unregistered business, regardless of the small scale or low earnings. The violation was established based on documentation provided by the State Inspectorate.

As a mitigating circumstance, the court noted that the woman had no prior criminal record. In addition to the fine, she must forfeit the 50 euros earned and cover 20 euros in procedural costs. She has 60 days to pay the fine, with an option to consider the debt fully settled if two-thirds of the amount is paid within that timeframe.
