Vitez to host stage of Tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2027
The municipality of Vitez has agreed to host the start of the second stage of the international Tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina, scheduled for May 2027. Following a meeting between the race organizing team and Vitez Mayor Boris Marjanović, the town was selected to host a segment that may be designated as the ‘Royal Stage’.
The proposed stage is expected to be the most challenging part of the race, covering a distance of 205 kilometers with nearly 3,000 meters of accumulated elevation. Organizers aim to use the event to promote Central Bosnia, the Lašva Valley, and local gastronomy to an international audience.
The Tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina is registered in the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) calendar under category 2.2. The event features professional cycling teams from around the world and is supported by the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
