Viticulture developments expand across the Low Countries

The viticulture industry in the Low Countries is seeing increased activity through professional development and new local producers. The Wijnbouwbeurs der Lage Landen will take place on October 24 in Tilburg, featuring a comprehensive knowledge program. The event includes workshops, masterclasses, and the new Wijn & Wijngaard College, focusing on topics such as cool-climate viticulture, wine bottle innovations, and the impact of climate change.

In Belgium, Domein Wynhuyse is preparing for its first public tasting at the Toer Lekker Oost-Vlaams event on August 30. Winemaker Jeroen Ascoop, who transitioned from wine importing to organic viticulture on his family's former farmland, will present four wines produced from his vineyard, which began planting in 2023.
