Viticulture developments in Almería and Entre Ríos

In Almería, Spain, the harvest season is beginning at Bodega Barea Granados in Padules. Located at an altitude of 800 meters between the Sierra Nevada and Sierra de Gádor, the vineyard benefits from high sun exposure and mountain water. Despite a year characterized by high temperatures and low rainfall, the grape conditions have been reported as extraordinary. The winery, which transitioned from traditional grape processing to a dedicated winery in 2003, continues a family legacy rooted in the historical production of the Andarax Valley.

In Argentina, the Mapa del Vino organization is hosting a sensory tasting event focused on the Entre Ríos region. The event aims to highlight the emerging viticultural identity of the territory by featuring 12 wines from various local wineries, including Terruños del Palmar, Alonso Sáenz, and Finca Fénix. The selection includes diverse varieties such as Tannat, Marselan, Malbec, and Viognier, intended to introduce participants to the unique terroir of the littoral region.
