Vitinho leaves Bahia for Portuguese club Paços de Ferreira

Midfielder Vitinho, a product of Bahia’s youth academy, is leaving the club permanently to join Portuguese side Paços de Ferreira in Liga 3 for the 2026/27 season. The player is currently finalizing the termination of his loan agreement with Santa Cruz and his contract with Bahia.

Under the terms of the transfer, Bahia will retain 30% of the player's economic rights, allowing the club to benefit from any future value increases or transfers in European football. This move follows a strategic model recently adopted by Bahia for academy graduates who lack immediate space in the professional squad, similar to recent departures of players such as Richarllyson and Arthur Jampa.
