Vito Bardi announces candidacy for Forza Italia regional secretary in Basilicata

Vito Bardi has announced his candidacy for the regional secretary position of Forza Italia in Basilicata. The candidacy was reached through a unanimous agreement within the party, supported by regional assessor Francesco Cupparo.

The regional congress is scheduled for September 19, 2026, in Potenza. During this event, the party will elect a regional secretary and 20 members of the regional secretariat. Voting will take place in Potenza, with a provincial polling station established in Matera at the Policoro headquarters.

Simone Pierro, the regional secretary of Forza Italia Giovani Basilicata, expressed satisfaction with the agreement, noting the candidacy of Bardi and Vincenzo Taddei as Vice Regional Secretary Vicario. The youth movement also acknowledged the role of Minister Maria Elisabetta Casellati in strengthening the party's presence in the region.
