Vitor Roque remains a doubt for Palmeiras in Libertadores semifinal

Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque is a doubt for the decisive second leg of the Copa Libertadores semifinal against Fluminense due to an ankle injury. The attacker suffered an ankle sprain during a recent match against Corinthians, causing him to miss the first leg at the Maracanã, which Palmeiras won 2-1.

Club medical staff and coaching staff are monitoring the player's recovery on a daily basis. Assistant coach Vitor Castanheira noted that the team will have to evaluate his condition day by day, stating, “It is one less option that we have.”

The injury marks a difficult period for Roque, who has faced recurring physical issues throughout the season, including a previous surgery on his left ankle. His availability remains uncertain for the return match scheduled for October 21 at Nubank Parque, where Palmeiras holds a two-goal advantage in the aggregate score.
