Viação Rosa adds 26 Iveco buses to Vitória da Conquista public‑transport fleet

Viação Rosa has received 26 new Iveco Bus 17‑280 units for the municipal transport system of Vitória da Conquista, Bahia. Thirteen of the buses are already in service, with the remainder to be introduced gradually. The new vehicles feature air‑conditioning, wheelchair lifts, dedicated spaces for passengers with reduced mobility, USB charging ports and on‑board monitoring, and will replace older buses to lower the fleet’s average age, which the municipality reports as about four years.

The city’s system carries roughly 90,000 passengers on weekdays and the addition of the Iveco units does not increase the total number of buses, which currently stands at 166 across 48 lines. The chassis are built by Iveco Group in Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais. With this acquisition Viação Rosa now operates more than 80 Iveco buses, also serving routes in São Paulo and Mato Grosso.

Rodrigo Rosa, director‑president of Viação Rosa, highlighted the partnership’s focus on reliability and operational efficiency, while Mauricio Yamamoto, head of Iveco Bus for Latin America, emphasized the strategic growth of the brand alongside Brazilian operators.
