Vitória City Hall installs cameras at Pedra da Cebola Park

The Vitória City Hall has installed the first video monitoring camera at Pedra da Cebola Park following investigations into animal abuse and abandonment. This action follows inspections conducted by the Public Ministry of Espírito Santo (MPES) and legislative committees investigating animal mistreatment.

In conjunction with the new surveillance measures, Mayor Cris Samorini issued a decree dismissing the park's administrator, Carlos Eduardo Coimbra Santana. The administrative change is set to take effect on September 14. Local animal protectors have long advocated for increased monitoring to prevent incidents of neglect within the park.
