Vitória de Guimarães to sell 17% stake to V Sports for €3.8M
Vitória de Guimarães has announced an agreement with the V Sports fund to sell 17% of its Sports Public Limited Company (SAD), a move expected to inject 3.8 million euros into the club.
The transaction aims to restore V Sports' stake to 46%, a level previously held before the fund reduced its participation to 29% to comply with UEFA multi-ownership regulations. If approved by club members at an extraordinary General Assembly on October 30, the funds will be used to reduce existing debt, which exceeded 85 million euros in total liabilities at the end of the 2025/26 season.
As part of the deal, V Sports has committed to investing an additional 1.8 million euros while holding a 46% stake. Furthermore, the agreement includes a commitment to develop a debt restructuring plan for an amount between 20 and 30 million euros within 60 business days.
