Vitória Sport Clube SAD targets profit and debt refinancing

The management company (SAD) of Vitória Sport Clube has outlined a financial recovery plan aimed at returning to profitability by the 2026/27 season. Following a projected loss of over 11 million euros in 2025/26, the club anticipates a pre-tax profit of 1.67 million euros in 2026/27, supported by expected sales of approximately 24 million euros.

The recovery strategy relies on reducing operational costs, maintaining high player transfer volumes, and decreasing financial charges. A key component of the 2026–2031 business plan involves refinancing debt through a new 25 million euro line to repay the MSD loan and free up television rights revenue.

Additionally, the club is proceeding with a proposal to sell a 17% stake in the SAD to V Sports. This transaction would increase V Sports' shareholding from 29% to 46%, while Vitória Sport Clube retains a majority stake of 50.84%. This move aims to restore the partnership model originally approved in 2023, which was previously adjusted due to UEFA regulatory restrictions.
