Vitro to delist from Mexican Stock Exchange
Mexican glass manufacturer Vitro has announced plans to delist from the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV) after 50 years of public trading. The company has called an Extraordinary General Shareholders' Meeting for November 13, 2026, to vote on a public tender offer for its shares and the subsequent cancellation of its registration with the National Securities Registry (RNV).
The proposal is supported by shareholders who hold approximately 95.79% of the company's outstanding shares. These investors have agreed to vote in favor of the delisting and have stipulated that they will not participate in the tender offer.
Founded in 1909 in Monterrey, Vitro has grown into a major North American manufacturer of flat glass and containers. As of December 31, 2025, the company reported 24 million dollars in cash and equivalents and a net debt of 135 million dollars.
