Vittoria advances historic centre regulation and merchant tax relief amid urban works

Business associations Confcommercio Vittoria, CNA Vittoria and Confesercenti Ragusa submitted a joint document proposing revisions to the historic centre regulation. The proposals call for clearer definitions of permitted economic activities, fiscal incentives for building rehabilitation, and the creation of an advisory commission on urban quality to oversee architectural standards and monitor the regulation’s impact.

The municipal administration confirmed fiscal relief for merchants affected by the long‑term Baldissera construction site, extending tax incentives to all activities disrupted for more than six months along Via Chiesa della Salute to Via del Ridotto. It also approved a €120,000 public‑lighting upgrade in Borgo Vittoria, funded by extraordinary budget resources and executed by Iren Smart Solutions, including new LED lamps on several streets and in public gardens, with work slated to finish by the end of the year.
