Vittoria municipal debt controversy sparks criticism of administration

Andrea La Rosa, secretary of Forza Italia in Vittoria, has criticized the local administration for mismanagement regarding municipal debt. He noted significant discrepancies in reported figures, stating that while the council initially discussed a litigation amount of 3 million euros, a commission identified approximately 16 million euros. A subsequent recalculation by the administration placed the figure at around 14 million euros.

La Rosa argued that these shifting numbers represent a failure in institutional credibility and accounting accuracy rather than a mere technical error. He called for greater transparency and accountability from the administration following the discrepancy between the initial 3 million euro claim and the actual debt levels.
