Vittoria school reopens after ceiling collapse and safety inspections

The Istituto Francesco Pappalardo in Vittoria has been reopened following emergency safety inspections and repairs. The school, which includes both primary and secondary levels, was previously closed after a section of a ceiling collapsed in a classroom, resulting in two students being hospitalized for medical evaluation.

Local authorities have completed technical investigations and safety interventions across the entire complex. While the municipality has returned control of the building to the school administration, parents are seeking further clarification regarding the specific actions taken in the classrooms and the status of safety inspections in other local schools, such as the Alfredino Fuschi nursery school.
