Vittoriale degli Italiani seeks funds after storm damage

The Fondazione Il Vittoriale degli Italiani has raised over 7,000 euros through small donations from citizens to aid reconstruction following a violent storm on July 17. Despite this community mobilization, the foundation reports that no significant contributions have yet been received from large corporations or major patrons.

Damage to the historic complex in Gardone Riviera is estimated to exceed 5 million euros. The storm caused extensive destruction, including the breaking of the mainmast on the Regia Nave Puglia, damage to the Laghetto delle Danze, and the uprooting of 31 historic cypress trees. Other affected areas include Villa Mirabella and various historical roads due to landslides and ground instability.

Foundation president Giordano Bruno Guerri has called for support from private individuals and businesses, suggesting the use of the Art Bonus to facilitate contributions.
