Vittorio Feltri receives Special Career Award for journalism

Vittorio Feltri, the editorial director of Il Giornale, has been honored with a Special Career Award at the 9th Icch Young Communicators Awards held in Milan. The award, organized by the International Corporate Communication Hub, recognizes his long-standing professional contribution to Italian journalism and public debate.

During the ceremony, Feltri reflected on his career, noting that he learned his craft by observing masters such as Biagi and Montanelli. He also addressed the evolving landscape of information, expressing discomfort with the shift toward mobile-centric communication. Feltri maintained that print media remains essential, asserting that “the people still need printed paper because when you read something in a newspaper you think it is true,” and predicting that newspapers and weeklies will continue to exist despite digital competition.
