Viu Internet donates 350kg of food to Atlântida Sul families

Viu Internet has donated 350 kilograms of food to vulnerable families in the Atlântida Sul district of Osório. The delivery took place at the Praça da Integração Community Kiosk and was attended by sub-prefect Enedina Paz and representatives from the Osório Social Assistance Secretariat.

The donation is part of the ‘Instalação Solidária’ project, an initiative established by the internet provider over eight years ago. Under this program, new customers can have their installation fees waived by donating two kilograms of non-perishable food instead. The collected items are screened and distributed to registered families in need through municipal secretariats and social assistance organizations in the North Coast region.

Local authorities noted that the food arrives at a critical time during the winter season, when financial difficulties for vulnerable families often intensify due to increased costs for food and heating.
