ViuTV launches new variety programming in Hong Kong

ViuTV has launched new variety programming featuring rising local talents. In the dating reality show ‘VIURIETY The Choose Day 2.0’, tensions rose during a labeling game where male contestants assigned negative descriptors to female participants. COLLAR member Shen Zhenqiao publicly criticized contestant Jason for his behavior, calling it ‘bullying the weak’. The episode also featured Regine, a participant returning from Canada, and sparked significant online discussion regarding the conduct of the male contestants.

Additionally, the new cooking program ‘Cooking Research Lab’ premiered, featuring 22-year-old actress Haley (Hu Xiyi) and veteran Tai Shan. The episode focused on a rapid 30-minute cooking challenge. Haley, a MakerVille artist who rose to prominence through the acting competition ‘The Selection’, showcased her novice cooking skills alongside Tai Shan. The broadcast has drawn attention to Haley’s contrasting public persona and her social media presence.
