Viva Aerobus resumes direct flights between Acapulco and Cancún

Viva Aerobus will resume direct flights between Acapulco and Cancún starting November 3. The airline will operate two weekly direct flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

This addition complements existing services between the two destinations that currently include layovers at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) on Thursdays and Sundays. With these new flights, the airline will offer a total of four weekly frequencies between Acapulco and Cancún to strengthen mobility between the southwest and southeast of Mexico.

The expansion follows a visit from Acapulco’s Secretary of Tourism, Noé Peralta Herrera, to the airline's operations base in Monterrey. Jesús Horacio González, Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Viva, noted the company's commitment to the recovery and development of Acapulco following the impact of Hurricane Otis in 2023.
