Viva Aerobus to launch Nuevo Laredo–Tampico–Cancún flight route

Viva Aerobus will launch a new air route connecting Nuevo Laredo to Tampico and Cancún starting November 14. The service will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offering a significant reduction in travel time within the state of Tamaulipas.

Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal announced that the flight from Nuevo Laredo to Tampico will take approximately one hour and 20 minutes, compared to a road journey that can exceed eight hours. Passengers traveling to Cancún will remain on the same aircraft during the stopover in Tampico. The new connection aims to improve mobility for families, professionals, and businesses while linking the northern border region with the southern port area and the Mexican Caribbean.
