Vivaldi’s ‘The Four Seasons’ to be performed in unique styles across Italy
Various musical interpretations of Antonio Vivaldi’s ‘The Four Seasons’ are scheduled for late September 2026 in Italy.
The Janoska Ensemble will perform a rendition of the masterpiece that blends classical music with jazz, pop, folk, and improvisation. The quartet, consisting of Ondrej Janoska, Roman Janoska, František Janoska, and Julius Darvas, utilizes their signature ‘Janoska Style’ to offer a unique perspective on the work through original arrangements and improvisations.
In Modena, the Chiesa di San Bartolomeo will host the XXIX edition of the Festival Musicale Estense on September 27, 2026. The Ensemble Armoniosa will present a chamber version of the work adapted by Michele Barchi. This performance utilizes a reduced ensemble of five musicians, employing a five-string small cello alongside organ and harpsichord to perform the full score without simplifications. The program also includes Vivaldi’s Sonata RV 47, Concerto RV 383a, and the Sonata op. 1 n. 12 ‘La Follia’.
