VIVANT enters second half of second season with rescue mission

The TBS Sunday Theater drama ‘VIVANT’ is entering the second half of its second season, focusing on a high-stakes rescue operation to recover members of the ‘Beppan’ intelligence unit. The upcoming episodes feature a major shift in character dynamics, particularly for the character Nokoru, played by Kazunari Ninomiya, who transitions from a former leader of the terrorist organization ‘Tent’ to a key ally of the protagonist, Yosuke Nogi (Kazuma Sakai).

Producer Kazutaka Iida has described the upcoming developments as an ‘Avengers-style’ ensemble performance. Key characters highlighted include Nokoru, who will utilize intelligence and multilingual skills, and Kurosu (Tori Matsuzaka). Actor Takashi Yamanaka, who plays Ali, discussed his character’s evolving role as a supportive figure who manages logistics and security while the main team conducts the rescue mission.

Viewers and analysts are also closely watching unresolved plot threads, including the true motives of the organization ‘Shinshi,’ the mysterious whereabouts of scientist Elisha Mamadov, and the potential role of Kaoru (Fumi Nikaido) in the unfolding conflict.
