VIVANT drama production details and cast interviews revealed

The second season of the Japanese drama ‘VIVANT’ continues to generate significant social media engagement, with recent developments highlighting both production details and cast experiences.

Director Yohei Miyazaki revealed a behind-the-scenes detail regarding a high-tension interrogation scene between characters Ryu (played by Masato Sakai) and Nozaki (played by Hiroshi Abe). To enhance realism, the production team used an actual electric saw to cut through chains used to block the room, a detail that surprised viewers on social media.

In a recent interview, actress Sumire Hanaoka, who portrays the genius hacker ‘Blue Walker’ (Riho Ota), discussed the challenges of her role. Despite playing a technical expert, Hanaoka noted she had little prior experience with computers and had to learn technical terminology and keyboard positioning on set. She also shared insights into the meticulous direction she received regarding character nuances, such as physical posture and the environmental details of her character's workspace.
