The TBS Sunday drama ‘VIVANT’ has generated significant social media buzz following the broadcast of its 16th episode on the 30th due to several surprise cameos.

Comedian and rugby player Shinya made an unannounced appearance as a mercenary during a scene involving intelligence activities in Beijing. Although his appearance lasted only a few seconds without dialogue, viewers quickly identified him on social media. Shinya later confirmed his role on X (formerly Twitter), posting a photo of himself in character.

Additionally, players from the independent baseball leagues Saitama Musashi Heat Bears and Tochigi Golden Braves appeared in a baseball stadium scene. Both teams confirmed their participation via official X accounts shortly after the broadcast, noting that the filming took place at the UD Trucks Ageo Stadium. The inclusion of the BC League players was noted by viewers who had recognized the uniforms during the episode.
