VIVANT drama expands with new characters and immersive Tokyo event
The popular TBS drama series ‘VIVANT’ continues to generate significant engagement through its evolving plot and new promotional activities. Recent episodes have focused on the character Drum’s search for Nozaki, revealing that Nozaki’s actions were part of an undercover mission for the Public Security Bureau rather than a betrayal. The narrative has introduced new mysteries, including the identity of Ryu Minshuen and the involvement of the organization ‘Sinshi’.
New cast members have also been introduced, including singer-songwriter Rei Yamada, who joins the series as a member of the ‘Beppan’ intelligence unit operating in the Caucasus region. Additionally, actress Kyoko Miyashita has gained attention for her role as the mysterious Han Linxin.
To expand the franchise's reach, TBS has announced ‘VIVANT IMMERSIVE MISSION,’ an experiential event scheduled to run from September 16 to November 27, 2026, at Creative Museum Tokyo in Kyobashi. The event will feature real sets used in the production and utilize mixed reality (MR) via a smartphone app to allow visitors to participate in missions as members of the ‘Beppan,’ ‘Public Security,’ or ‘Tent’ factions.
