VivaTech 2026 in Paris features Brazilian student project and AI summit

The VivaTech 2026 exhibition in Paris attracted around 200,000 visitors from 165 countries, showcasing 15,000 startups and 4,500 exhibitors under the theme “Artificial Intelligence: Impact, Not Illusion.” Jeff Bezos opened the event, presenting his AI startup Prometheus, while French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s role as the official AI partner.

A delegation from Brazil participated in side events, visiting Station F and the EuraTechnologies hub in Lille. Among the Brazilian representatives were two public‑school students from Bahia, Cauan Eduardo Rodrigues Rabelo and Letícia Mattos Santana, who presented their “App R&S 360” recruitment‑by‑competence platform. Their attendance was funded by the Bahia state Education Secretariat’s “Da Bahia para o Mundo” program, which supports students’ international exposure.

The Brazilian presence underscored the growing link between public‑sector education and global tech innovation, while the broader VivaTech programme emphasized practical AI applications across industry, health and mobility.
