VIVER+ Association donates essential goods to ULSAC psychiatry department
The VIVER+ Association for Culture, Sport, and Community has donated essential hygiene products and clothing to the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health at the Unidade Local de Saúde do Alentejo Central (ULSAC).
On August 14, the donation included 132 personal hygiene items, such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, along with five boxes of assorted clothing for men and women. These items are intended to support patients currently in inpatient care. The initiative was made possible through the efforts of volunteers and regional partners, including the Horta das Figueiras Pharmacy in Évora and the Union of Parishes of Malagueira and Horta das Figueiras.
Representatives from VIVER+, including President Nuno Vilaranda, delivered the goods to ULSAC officials, including Board President Carlos António Mateus Gomes and Department Director Sofia Charro. Officials noted that the donation serves to improve the comfort and dignity of patients during delicate periods of their lives.
