Vivero Niños del Lago presents 20-year reforestation project
The “Vivero Niños del Lago” project, led by students and teachers from Escuela N° 25 in Lago Futalaufquen, is being presented at an international seminar organized by the Latin American Center for Learning and Solidarity Service (CLAYSS) in Buenos Aires.
For 20 years, the initiative has focused on producing native tree species to assist in the reforestation of forests damaged by fires. Students participate in the entire lifecycle of the project, including seed sowing, seedling care, and the eventual transplantation of trees into the forest to support regional ecological recovery.
